The Homole Gorge

The Homole Gorge

Wąwóz Homole is one of the greatest natural attractions in the Pieniny Mountains. It is a deeply cut gorge with steep walls located in the area of Jaworki village in the Lesser Pieniny range. The rocky section stretches for a length of 0.8 km, featuring breathtaking cliffs and steep rock walls reaching heights of up to 120 m.

Here, we can admire exceptional vegetation. Since the 15th century, the gorge has been known as a place of treasure hunting. A stream called Kamionka flows along the narrow valley floor. Particularly noteworthy are its extraordinary and picturesque cascades.

Further up, the gorge widens into the Dubantowska Glade with large boulders known as "stone books". This is a favorite resting spot for tourists exploring the gorge. Continuing the walk, we reach a viewpoint terrace at the Arena Jaworki.
